Christmas Awareness

Picture of Riverside Secondary School
Yesterday Clara and I was waiting for the other two to come downstairs. We stood at the road just opposite Riverside Secondary School. I saw the sculpture and I think my prediction is right. The sculpture looks like three people who are very proud and aspire to excel. Standing there, I thought that was the most beautiful art in front of me. It was also very motivating, serving as a reminder to everyone who walk past, always walk with pride and dignity(carry your chest upwards), be inspired and always aspire to do your best in whatever thing you do.

A closer view of the sculpture
I wrote about not seeing sculpture, especially metal sculpture around my neighbourhood, but I was reminded about the sculpture that looks like face yesterday when I saw it at Causeway Point MRT station, as shown in the pictures below:
This sculpture is not something new. It was there since Woodlands MRT was built. I had seen it many times, everytime I took the MRT. Clara always say it looks like faces, with eyes and and mouth. Yes, it is true. But it is twining like a DNA strand, and I have no idea what the sculpture really means.
This is called not being aware of what is around us. Sometimes things are just right in front of you or within your reach, but you fail to see them. We must really open our eyes, our heart and our ears, and our senses to see God's work. I found that I had grown spiritually as compared to last year's Christmas. I had known more about God through my life and through going to church. All these, I have to thank my 'friend', the 'stranger' who talked to me when I was down and opened up my 'senses' and let me see the LIGHT. I always remembered them each time I had better understanding of God. Without them, I would not have grow so much.
As we were saying the 'I BELIEVE' Apostle's Creed, it was so meaningful and I can appreciate it for once. I used to read, but I don't understand or understand with 'no feeling'. I hear, but I do not feel. But every steps that I take, it lead me to something eventually, better and more meaning each time. It is guiding me, like a life's lesson. Just a few days ago, I was writing about 'Beliefs', and over the days and months, I had written about 'words', 'hearts', 'justice', 'peace', and so on. Yesterday, everything was seem like a revision, the bell kept ringing and I am getting near the true meaning of Faith soon.

More shopping carts like these above are seen at Causeway Point. Christmas Shopping and Christmas Caroling at Causeway Point
This Christmas, no expensive gifts. This Christmas, no shopping. Ricsson saw the free umbrella at Causeway Point and he asked if we were going to shop. Spent S$200 to get a free Disney Umbrella. My sister had told me long time ago, and she told me how beautiful it was. I told Ricsson, we had no need for umbrella. I had no need to buy things at this period. I asked him "Are we buying umbrella or are we buying things?" If I have need to buy things that would add up to be S$200, that would be a good deal. If I have no need to buy things, I would be buying unnecessary things and I am buying the umbrella, an expensive umbrella.
This is going to be a Wonderful Christmas for me. I am inspired for Christmas and I am looking forward to discover more this Christmas. This is the greatest Christmas Inspiration I ever had.
I want to take this opportunity to wish everybody Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. These are Pictures taken at Bugis Junction, Soo Kee Jewellery Musical Show. Ricsson loves the beautiful ornaments. Me too. May you enjoy the coming Christmas.
