St Anthony Day

The church celebrates St Anthony Day today. At 4.30pm, we cycled to Woodlands Ave 1 here to eat Chicken Rice as usual. On the way, at the open field outside POSB/near the block 304, 305, there were so many birds flying. There was one pigeon, white on the underside (the bosom) and black on the wings, what a lovely scene...

At the kopi tiam (coffee shop) - S11, sparrows were more than usual today. And on the grasslands, I was so surprised to see a group of pigeons gathering together there. And there was one brown one, special light brown (not John), among the black ones. I wanted to take a photograph of it, but when I turned my head (after fixing my camera -- at the sight of the birds, my camera went haywire....) all the birds flew away...

After eating chicken rice, we went to pump air for our bicycle at the bicycle shop. After that, I told Richard that my back wheel was very tight, hard to cycle. He did not believe. The wheel seemed imbalance too. The rear wheel was higher than the front wheel. Later on he helped me check and 'temporary' fixed it. We cycled to the church safely.

Reached the St Anthony church early, and just after parking bicycle and while I was wondering and taking pictures of Yang Yang, my favourite church dog, I heard the church bell rang. I faster went to take a look. First time, first time I was like 'naturally looked up' and saw the bell. WOW, the lever or pulleys and the bells all turning and all 'working' to make the bell chimed. WOW, I love it so much. It was such a wonderful sight, wonderful sound I hear. It was the LONGEST church bell I ever heard also. The church bell chimed for so long, and I did not know how long it was.

Today at the mass, Father Terence wore pearl white vestment. That was so nice. Richard felt very 'honoured' to receive Holy Communion from him. He was hoping that he could receive Holy Communion from Nicholas Chia last night too.

After mass, we cycled to Causeway Point for dinner. Never buy any ticket for the Feast Day. While cycling, I found my bicycle wheel rather 'hard' to cycle. There were 'sound' too. Finally at the car park behind the church (outside the church), my rear bicycle wheel burst. There was such a loud 'explosion'. All the people were dismayed. It was such an embarrassment too.

In the end, I need to push the bicycle instead. To send for repair or what? Well, again, all 'follow' HIS decision...... Don't think that it does not concern you!!! Ultimately, what concern me, concern you also, and what concern you will concern me also..... but HE failed to see this sort of reasoning..... Whatever, let him 'play' what he liked -- will learn in the process....

Yesterday, saw Puma cat after church also (the night mass, the celebration of Triduum). Puma cat was opposite the road, the same location where I used to see him, but I was on the other side of the road. And cycling to Causeway Point, I seemed to see Freedom Cat from afar, but as I cycled nearer, it was a palm leaf dropped on the floor.

But today, I saw Freedom Cat, waiting for me, this time at the side of Causeway Point...
