Hokkien Mee
This morning my dream:
Richard and I were at a Pasar Malam. A Chinese woman was selling Hokkien Mee. She asked if we wanted to buy. I bought one. However, I regretted later when I saw how she prepared the noodles and what I got in the end.
The Hokkien Mee turned out to be a clump of spaghetti. First she put had a pot of gravy. Then she had all the gravy in a plate and scoop a clump of spaghetti on the plate (a bundle of spaghetti). Next, she used scissors to cut the bundle of spaghetti (golden, translucent look). It did not look delicious nor appetizing. I regretted and I felt so cheated. Next, I confronted her and demanded a refund, otherwise I would call up the authorities. She was nonchalant to this.
Richard refused to help me, standing at one side, watching. A man passed by. His hand was holding a red handphone. I asked him to help me. He said he had bought a packet of Hokkien Mee from this woman earlier on. Next, he opened up his packet of Hokkien Mee to show me. It consisted of yellow noodles and white Mee Fen. The Mee Fen was very fine, the small Men Fen, instead of the usual big Mee Fen in Hokkien Noodle.
I promised to return the handphone to this guy after I had finished used. He was not anxious about his handphone nor had any doubts or suspicions on me -- absolute trust in me. He went to play games. Later, I return him his phone.
Richard and I left the place. We went to a housing estate, HDB flat. I walked passed some corridors and came to his mother's house, but also seems to be like a restaurant area. The house seemed to have 2 compartments or 2 adjoining doors, side by side to each other. Outside this door, it was dark, and on the opposite side seems to be the restaurant.
I entered the house on the right door. Upon entry, I was greeted by Richard's sister, calling me "大嫂" (big sister-in-law). I smiled at her and acknowledged the greetings. I seemed to have talk to her for a while before I proceeded to enter the house, further up. I turned left to another 'door' (entrance) where Richard's mother was in the 'kitchen' area. She seemed to be preparing something. It looked like a 'restaurant', but it was not. The place was bright. I went to this place, and at the back was some curtains which could be drawn. I asked Richard to draw the curtain for me as I wanted to take a bath at the bath tub. As I was bathing, I was taking care not to sit on the dirty stains in the bath tub. Still, I had accidentally sat on it. Richard laughed at me. But I was so scared because my backside touched something. I looked at it in the murky water, but can only see a mess of brown thing -- I was not wearing spectacles! I asked Richard to see what was it inside the water. What could the 'poky' thing be? It turned out to be a coffee bag!
Outside the house, it was dark, and there seem to be a female waitress. She gave me something which I had forgotten what was it. Next, I headed to the toilet. The pathway was not bright, but dim. At the toilet, there were mirror and plants. I found something which inspired me. I had forgotten what I had seen. It was some ornaments displayed in the toilet.
