大爷伯 (Big Old Uncle)

5.36 am. Awakened by a terrible dream....and awoken miraculously by a mysterious means... a strange effect as though something 'vapourise' or there is some kind of 'outlet' escaping through my ears slowly, in a gradual manner. The next thing I heard was Richard calling out something like "ghar ghar". I don't know what he had dreamed also.

It was a dream about Doris, Teo Ser Luck, Lucy and my brother. Just before I was awoken, we were all escaping, running upslope on a tilted platform of a person's house, Teo Ser Luck. I had told her,"Why she had constructed her house like that!" 2 or 3 women dropped down while 'escaping'. I remembered one woman dressed in white, running upslope, but was fallen like skateboarding down the slope, through the outrageous handrail(what bar) which was constructed so far widely apart.

All the women were running, and I was running. I was able to run safely up the slope, saying "luckily" to myself. Perhaps that was due to the shoe I was wearing. I managed to escape to the 'next level'. On the left of the slope, I proceeded to a place like a lounge area, with seats like a cafteria and there is a lift at a far end. In the dream, I remembered the girl which I was to 'rescue' also, but now I had forgotten who this girl was. I could have escape, but I was waiting for this girl in the lift, who walked so slow and in the end, Teo Ser Luck and the rest of the woman catch up.

In the lift, it was a lift slightly downwards on groundlevel (even lower than the so called cafeteria floor). Inside the lift, there is a metal bar which could hinder Teo Ser Luck from capturing, or just anyone. It was a strange dream. Teo Ser Luck was as though a giant or was it that we were become miniature people in the lift? Teo Ser Luck put her hand in the lift as though she could draw me out despite knowing the fact that there is a metal bar and it could be impossible. But it was a terrible dream. It was a 'death' end for me, MY TURN to be dead or to FACE the FATE.... won't know what she would do to me next.

I decided to come out voluntarily. I come out of the lift despite having the rest of the people. I was the one who thought of the idea first and who pressed the lift. She knew it all and saw it all. While waiting in the lift for the girl to come in, many other women also come in, but the third person who came was Teo Ser Luck. I followed her, Captured by her... she held me in the hands...... going to die a terrible death or was it a show I thought. What will she do to me like the rest of the captured girls? I awoken from my dream just as I told Teo Ser Luck, "I will submit myself."

Prior to this part of the dream, it was the presence of a spiritual medium (a summon of the medium). A group of 'devotee' gathered as though having a ritual. The boys were dressed in white robe with green belt like those of Chinese Martial Arts like Judo or so. In the dream, I felt as though I had prior experience to these presence of Summon of Spiritual Medium. I intend to escape (to the far back where I can see the rest of the people. I do not want to be the first) but I fell. Upon falling, I quickly stood up and hurried a few steps to the back while the rest of the people stood still as though in 'salutation' awaiting for the 'arrival' or start of the ceremony.

Standing at the passageway, I saw the boys, young boys all with different roles to play (something equivalent to altar boys). A small boy was holding a pen like thing, scribbling on the floor, writing out things which are perhaps 'being asked' (from the spiritual medium). The boy was very specially dressed. Someone was held 'captive' as though he had done something wrong. His body was clothed specially with a apron like dressing with Chinese Words written on it. A very big 爷伯 was written, but the爷 was written in the tradition manner, not shown like this the simplified one. 爷伯 and also 大二爷伯 are the 'gods' which people worshipped -- The Chinese gods, but I do not know them also. I have only some information about them.

In this dream, the boy was held 'captive'. The parents must have brought the boy here to 'be asked'. I don't know what's wrong with the boy, but obviously, the parents seem to have 'given the son' here.....Something in the dream which I realized was this boy must be 'captured' during some road show (the parents being 'canvassed'). The parents were not present in this ceremony at all.

I was like the odd one out to be present there, happened to 'appear' there to witness the scene. Doris was behind with some girls. Before the part with Teo Ser Luck, I think I had a dream on the part where I had a meal with doris (before all was escaping on the slope). Three women were sitting down on a square table. Doris was sitting on the left. She had treated me to the meal and I was working for him, she was my manager... the same old story with her. I cannot remember who are the rest of the girls present.

The boy held captives and who was brought here to 'be asked' dressed like a convict, like those in ancient Chinese times. The boy was older than the little boy who was scribbling on the floor (his role). Both boys were of fair skin....

A strange 'nigh' (morning). Clara had come over to my room at 4.05am. Later, Ricsson followed. Never had they awoken like this for so long already. They were always so sound asleep except for this particular morning...and it was raining...

I cannot remember which part of the dream contains my brother and Lucy... perhaps before the spiritual medium. I went to one of the deserted room. The floor was dirty. I on the tap, water filled the hose and I sprayed water on the floor, to wash the floor.....else dirt collected on my soles.... the room was messy.....and it was not my house... I should not have wash it.....

Teo Ser Luck (simplified Chinese: 张思乐; pinyin: Zhāng Sīlè, born 8 June 1968) is a Singaporean Member of Parliament (MP) for Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC. He is also the Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and Ministry of Transport, as well as the Mayor, North East Community Development Council.
Teo became an MP in 2006 after the 2006 general elections, a six-man People's Action Party team, of which Teo was part of, contested Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC and defeated the Singapore Democratic Alliance with 68.70% of the votes.

Dreams

Hi-5 Dream On (magic) (2003) (lyrics)

Been so busy and been dreaming... full of dreams -- dreams of Fann Wong (范雯芳; born 27 January 1971), Ann Kok (born 11 January 1973), Terence Cao(born 6 October 1967).... and my own family members of course.... the last one being Ricsson lately...

Just two days ago, I dreamed of one of the deity, one of the longevity deity from Fu Lu Shou, the one holding a peach.... and he seemed to have given me the peach... I have no time to record my dreams for all these that was past, but I can remember some scenes from them. For example the one on Fann Wong, I remembered I dreamed of her wearing a pale yellow short dress, the dress extremely short, revealing so much of her thigh....

And yesterday I dreamed of Ai Tong Primary School, and today I dreamed of a book called Tung Shu 通书 or The Ancient Chinese Almanac. I have one at home and it is edited by Martin Palmer... Never before available in English, a Chinese Folk classic which has been annually republished for over 1200 years.

Meaning of almanac
1. an annual publication containing a calendar for the coming year, the times of such events and phenomena as anniversaries, sunrises and sunsets, phases of the moon, tides, etc., and other statistical information and related topics.
2. a publication containing astronomical or meteorological information, usually including future positions of celestial objects, star magnitudes, and culmination dates of constellations.
3. an annual reference book of useful and interesting facts relating to countries of the world, sports, entertainment, etc.

Just as I was checking the meaning of the word "almanac", I suddenly remembered I dreamed of the almanac or Tung Shu for the year 2011, it was the year 2011!!!

Ai Tong Primary School

This morning, I had another dream, a long one, but only managed to remember some part. I dreamed of Ai Tong Primary School. I saw a scene, a black and white scene of two Chinese people, one woman and one old man. The Chinese woman has tanned skin and rough skin. She has straight doll type of hair, very similar to my wedding photo hairstyle, but her hair was slightly longer than mine. In the dream, I saw her attending to an old man sitting/lying on the white bed (hospital bed). This woman is the principal of Ai Tong Primary School. Regardless of the age of the 'pupil' (as in this old man), they are still the pupils of Ai Tong School. This principal is helping the Chinese Old man...

There are other scenes in the dream, about school, but I had forgotten. Another part of the dream was Richard and I sitting in a pavilion, a garden, and there were two cans of drinks (some kind of 'flowered' drinks). I tried the drink and did not like the taste. One was sweetened and the other was unsweetened. The sweetened one was all over the floor...

It was the words 爱同 to be stressed on. 爱同 (Ai Tong) means 'love the same'. According to Wikipedia, the name 爱同 is derived from 博爱 and 大同 which means 'Love for all mankind' and 'Equality/Harmony' respectively. As for my understanding of these words in the dream, and having seen the scene of the principal and the old man, it means the "love of pupils" -- 爱 means love and 同 can means same as in 同样, and it can also means students as in 同学.

I have heard of this school, but did not go to the school or seen it before. I searched the web and came to know some facts about this school... Ai Tong School ( 爱同学校; pinyin: Àitóng xuéxiào) is a primary school located in Bishan, Singapore.

Ai Tong School started at a Methodist Church at Boon Tat Street in 1912 with about 30 pupils. In 1929, Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan took over the school management. In 1955, when the construction of SHHK building was completed, Ai Tong moved into the building with Chong Hock Girls School (now named Chongfu Primary School).

In the seventies, urban renewal caused enrolment to drop and the School Management Committee decided to relocate the school to Ang Mo Kio. In 1990, Ai Tong School was among the pioneer batch of schools to be accorded SAP status. Plans were made to move the school to a larger site when enrolment soared. Ai Tong moved to 100 Bright Hill Drive on
9 July 1992.

The school has also attained many laudable achievements outside the classroom. In line with Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan's objective to preserve Chinese language, values and culture, the school developed excellent programmes in essay writing, guzheng, wushu, Chinese dance, calligraphy, art and choir. Ai Tong also excels in basketball, volleyball and table tennis.

Over here, I learned about Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan....

Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan set up its first school in 1849. Over the years, it built Chongwen Ge, Chui Eng Free School, Tao Nan School, Ai Tong School, Chong Hock Girls' School, Nan Chiau High School and Kong Hwa School.

Initially, these schools adopted prevailing China's curriculum and taught Chinese culture and values, including Analects of Confucius (Lun Yu 《论语》), in Hokkien. To meet the pace of societal changes, these soon gave way to offering English Language and Mathematics in addition to the Chinese Language.

Today, the six affiliated schools: Tao Nan School, Ai Tong School, Chongfu Primary School, Nan Chiau High School, Nan Chiau Primary School and Kong Hwa School have a combined enrolment of 14,000 students and 700 staff. They share a common set of mission and motto:

Mission: • To provide for development in the moral, cognitive, physical, social and aesthetic spheres;
• To instill a love for the nation and the community;
• To equip students with basic life skills;
• To preserve and promote Chinese language and Chinese culture.
Motto: Sincerity & Perseverance

Searching and reading, I came to learn of Tan Kah Kee... and today is his birthday (21 October 1874); died 12 August 1961... Lee Kong Chian was his son-in-law, his birthday was just over, 18 October 1893! Lee Kong Chian died 2 June 1967. Both of them are businessmen. ...

While watching No Limits on Channel 8 one day, when the show just started (episode 1), I saw a statue at Hwa Chong Institution... I was wondering whose statue it was, and today I have the answer... it was "Tan Kah Kee"...

And just now, about 12 plus, someone came ringing the door bell. It was Robert, one of the Jehovah Witness... sharing with me some of the bible verses...

Number 13 and 14

This morning, I had a very unusual state...it was a dream and then when I was dreaming, I know that I was dreaming and I am also aware of the surrounding -- my air con sound in the room...

In the dream, it was about the number thirteen and fourteen. It was a dream about the Lady of Perpetual Succor! The word is really Perpetual Succor and not Perpetual help in the dream, and I told the taxi driver that I am going to this church at Tiong Bahru.... together with 8 other children in the taxi (don't know how they get in the taxi..), including me, it would be 9 passengers in the taxi, all so crammed....I was sitting in the front seat -- mostly black and brown children, some wearing yellow, mainly boys....

Not according to sequence, but as I remembered, trying to relate from the earliest to the latest as much as possible: I had dropped down from a flyer (the Ferris Wheel). Of all the people sitting together, I am the only one who fell down. Ricsson and Richard was obviously with me. While dropping down, it was so scary, but it was like quite fast, not really that high and I was not injured, on the way, it was I know that it was "planned".

Before this part or is it after this part, but it seemed to be before this, I was witnessing something that "I had seen before" experience in real life and then it happened again in the dream, something like a continuation. It was a statue that people had carried, arrival to the hotel. It was a wooden sculpture of a "Buddhist"'s kind of Sculpture. The sculpture is smooth, with drawing of the "goddess" or "god" and not the carvings of the person. But it is a wood, brown, various shades of brown, with shiny lacquer on it. As soon as the person put the sculpture there, some people started taking photographs. Richard was with me. I also wanted to take a photograph of it, but did not later.... Trying to get the best direction or angle, I think Richard had forbidden me to take photograph or was it someone who had talked to me... But the man who brought the statue here really talked to me and he was telling me about SPIRIT -- he told me about something that is finishing soon. So in this period of time, spirit is leaving the 'thing' and not 'the other way'....it is different now.... (He mentioned about the number 13 and 14...or something like that....)

So the wood has spirit...

Next, I was walking down steep stairs, very steep, really at perpendicular angle to the ground, the kind of ladder 'stair' and there were seemingly two rows. The one I am standing and climbing down seemed to stop halfway, meaning not going down to the ground. I need to change, shifting to the next 'ladder', the one on my left. It was so scary, some of the 'steps' (metal rods) were very loose and its either one bar or two bars for you to step on. It is so risky. I was so frighten and I was waiting for opportunity to step over. Behind me, people were all stucked, since I did not move. On my left, the 'ladder' seems like escalator. It was moving and it was like playing a game, trying to get over.

I was at the basement now. It was a place for children to play. Richard and Ricsson were here. I came to the end of this place where a little corner made into a room, a station, for rental of services (toys for children to play). I went into this room, wanted to rent some toys for Ricsson. The toys were all displayed -- legos and 'legos derivatives' mainly. And it is not so much now. I heard that the person in charge (the whole group) had gone for tour and leaving some 'unrelated' people to tend over it...

Seeing a few women(wearing pale coloured clothing) moving around, I talked to them, wanted them to help me with the 'lego derivatives'. But they were busy.... suddenly, I saw the things in this room changed.....become 'blank'!!! It was METRO..... everything in the place even the wall turns 'grey', like cement.....the original 'furnishing'. I saw on the wall, pinned with some stack of paper, with a drawing of Circle drawn on it. Every sheet of paper is the same. On the paper, a quadrant was drawn...the circle divided into four parts or four quarters. One quarter of the circle drawn, indicating that a quarter of the shares had been sold off to the other 'subsidiaries' or something like that. This means that Metro is going to close down soon in the dream!

Looking around, everything is in a mess, I started to take the tray myself, and 'self-help' -- taking the lego derivatives myself. But the place now was rather messy... and much of the 'toys' were gone now... what I had taken was not that much.

In the dream, I don't know which part of it, I had lost touch with Richard. Richard was with Ricsson. I alone, cannot find them. I called Richard and he did not respond. The next time, I called him again, he answered. I scolded him for not answering my previous call. Then when he answered me now, he was already 'gone', meaning went home with Ricsson already (and I am still outside at the place, searching for them). So I asked him for the address of the hotel. I do not know how to get back to the hotel. He did not know also. Later, he said that he was already on the way to work... and I asked him how... Suddenly an idea came to my mind. Someone had told me! I cannot remember WHO. It was suggested that we met at Tiong Bahru Church @ The Lady of Perpetual Succor.

Thinking of this, brought back 'memories' of the dream where I was at the 'Basement' of a family (is it my relatives or godmother again?). At this basement, there are flowers shop and fruits shop. We had eaten some fruits earlier on, washed and placed in a container, put at the center of the shops. Visiting the shop and seeing the sight, I thought that what we had eaten earlier on was 'prayed before' -- offering to the Chinese gods. But the lady told me that those were not.

I had ended my dream with going to the church of the Lady of Perpetual Succor, but in the dream is going to Tiong Bahru....
